The Drives
The setting and the topography of the estate are unrivalled. The terrain is formed by hills, mountains and ravines. There are also numerous cultivated areas with game crops. This provides an ideal habitat for red-legged partridge.
Another important feature of Ventosilla is that a great part of the estate is located in the shores of Lake Castrejon. The marshy borders of Lake Castrejon and the river provide a beautiful landscape and excellent habitat for game.

The Season
Season starts on October 8th and ends on February 8th.
When the hunting season is over Ventosilla is available for Bird-watching groups in the borders of the marshes of the Lake Castrejon as well as any other corporate activities.
They have recently restored in the Chateau with 10 luxury suites. The flavor and atmosphere of this historic shoot creates a unique ambience. Personal servants and keepers, attend hunters in the same manner which they have been doing for generations.
Ventosilla is 60 miles from Madrid by highway and is about an hour by car from the airport, and it is only 10 miles from the historical city of Toledo.
The weather is generally pleasant. Although 425 meters high, it nearly never snows. On the coldest days, the temperature might drop to freezing over night, but at dawn it will be 5 Celsius degrees and by noon the "Spanish Sun" warms the air to 18/20 degrees Celsius. Rain is rare and usually brief.
